This Privacy Policy explains how The World of O ("we," "our," "us"), developed and operated by marsiecom, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website (www.theworldofo.com) and mobile application (apptwofo).
Email address, password (encrypted), name, gender identity (LGBTQ+ inclusive), sexual orientation, profile photograph, account type (single or couple).
Phone number, interests/hobbies (tag-based, max 10), custom gender/orientation descriptions.
Registration: IP address, timestamp, browser info. Event participation: GPS location (encrypted, during events only), location accuracy. Gameplay: codename, karma score, challenges, ratings (kiss/slap). Email tracking, referral system data.
Processed via Stripe and in-app purchase systems (Google Play Billing, Apple App Store). We do NOT store credit card numbers. We store: order ID, amount, status, buyer email.
Service provision (account, tickets, events, GPS gameplay, matching), communication (verification, confirmations, reminders, newsletter), safety & moderation, analytics & improvement, legal compliance.
Event-specific codename, player type, general proximity (not exact location), karma score (current event only).
Your email, phone number, exact GPS coordinates, personal messages, full name.
Stripe (payments), Google Play (in-app purchases), Apple App Store (in-app purchases), email provider, hosting provider. We NEVER sell your data, share location outside events, or use data for unrelated marketing.
GPS encrypted (AES-256), passwords bcrypt hashed, HTTPS/TLS for all communications. Data retention: account info until deletion; GPS deleted within 48 hours after event; email logs 90 days; payment records 7 years (legal requirement). Breach notification within 72 hours.
You have the right to: Access (copy of your data, JSON format), Rectification (update profile), Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"), Portability (export data), Object (opt out of marketing, disable GPS), Restrict Processing. We respond within 30 days.
Essential (session, auth), functional (referral tracking, language), analytics (email opens, link clicks). Third-party: Stripe, hosting. You can manage cookies in your browser.
Transactional (cannot opt out): verification, confirmations, reminders, security alerts. Marketing (can opt out): event announcements, newsletter, referral notifications. Unsubscribe links in every email.
GPS collected only during active event participation. Used to show nearby players (within radius), facilitate challenges, verify check-ins. Encrypted, rounded to 5 decimal places, deleted within 48 hours after event. You can disable GPS anytime during event.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover a minor has registered, account and data will be deleted immediately. Contact info@theworldofo.com if you believe a minor is using our service.
Servers in Europe. Data from outside Europe transferred with standard contractual clauses. Protected under GDPR standards.
Profile photos analyzed for: face detection, face count (couples), proximity verification. Photos stored securely, accessible only to admins. Manual review by staff. Not used for facial recognition beyond verification.
Unique referral code per user. We track social share clicks. Referred users are notified who referred them. You cannot see referred users' personal information beyond name/status.
HTTPS/TLS, database encryption, security audits, backups, DDoS protection, access controls, staff training, incident response plan.
Stripe (payments, USA), Google Play Services (in-app purchases), Apple App Store (in-app purchases), Hosting (Europe), Email Service (Europe). All GDPR-compliant with data processing agreements.
Anonymous analytics on page views, feature usage, performance. Aggregated, cannot identify individuals.
We may update this policy. Posted with new "Last Updated" date. Material changes emailed to active users. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
